FAQ

How Zibbo works, what the stars mean, and what happens if a Client doesn't pay.

Getting started

What is Zibbo?

Zibbo helps Okanagan neighbours get jobs done. You post a task. Local Pros say they're interested. You pick one.

Does it cost anything to post a task?

No. Posting is always free. Only the Pro pays, and only $5 per new Client.

What does a Pro pay?

Your first 2 new Clients are free until November 23, 2026. After that, you pay $5 the first time you work with a new Client. Repeat jobs with the same Client are free. Zibbo takes no cut of what the Client pays the Pro.

How do Clients pay Pros?

You pay the Pro yourself, by cash or e-Transfer. The money never goes through Zibbo.

What if I pay $5 and the Client never answers?

If the Client doesn't write back within 48 hours after you pay, you get your $5 back.

Star ratings

Who can leave a review?

Only the two people on a finished job. You rate each other. You'll see the stars once you've both rated, or after 7 days.

What are the tick-boxes?

Low stars? Tick what went wrong. For 1 or 2 stars, add a short note too.

High stars? Tick what went well, and add a comment if you like.

If your words include swearing, we'll ask you to change them. What you typed stays in the box.

Why do good reviews matter?

Pros with good reviews show up higher.

Their best recent comments show on their profile and Pro card. New Pros get a New on Zibbo label and show in the middle, so they get seen too.

What if a review isn't fair?

You can reply once, and everyone can see it. If the review is wrong, tap This review isn't fair in the chat. We'll take a look.

Non-payment

What if a Client doesn't pay after the work is done?

A Pro can report Client didn't pay from a completed job. Our team checks it with both sides.

The first confirmed report adds a 1-star Didn't pay mark to the Client's rating.

A second confirmed report closes the account: the Client can't log in to post or chat, and open tasks close. We email the Client when a report is filed and when the account closes. When a report is confirmed or not confirmed, we email the Client and the Pro who reported it.

Trust and safety

What do the badges mean?

Email verified means they confirmed their email. Phone verified means they confirmed their phone. To check a licence or insurance, ask the Pro to send a photo of it in the chat. See Before you hire in the Safety Centre.

Can I send a photo or PDF in the chat?

Yes. Tap Add photo or PDF next to Send. On a phone you can take a photo or pick one you already have. You can send up to 4 at a time, up to 10 MB each.

Only you and the other person in the chat can open them. They're deleted with the chat, 30 days after the job ends. We remove the location from photos.

What is the Zibbo Promise?

If the Client doesn't write back within 48 hours after you pay, you get your $5 back. You also get your $5 back if the Client blocks you, or if a safety report is filed on that chat.

Zibbo brings you together. You and your Pro agree on the price, the time and the details in chat. If something comes up, we're happy to help.

How do I report or block someone?

Tap Report at the bottom of their profile, the task or the chat. Clients can also block a Pro in the chat. You can unblock them on Account.
